Meta's Strategic Sourcing organization is seeking a Strategic Sourcing and Partnerships Manager to join our Silicon team, with a focus on Application Processors (AP) and System-on-Chip (SoC) sourcing strategy. In this role, you will drive sourcing strategy and supplier partnerships for silicon components powering consumer hardware products across Meta's wearables, augmented reality, and virtual reality portfolio. You will lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives, shape supply base strategy for AP and SoC technologies, and build lasting supplier relationships that accelerate hardware development from early-stage prototyping through mass production. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, operations, and business strategy to ensure Meta's silicon supply chain is resilient, cost-competitive, and positioned for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive end-to-end sourcing strategies for silicon components, including Application Processors (AP) and System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies, aligning supply base decisions with long-term product roadmaps for Meta's consumer electronics and wearables
- Lead supplier partnership development by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding strategic silicon suppliers and foundry partners capable of meeting technical, quality, and scale requirements for AR, VR, and wearable hardware programs
- Influence cross-functional product development teams including silicon engineering, electrical engineering, and hardware systems teams to integrate supplier capabilities and technology roadmaps early in the design cycle
- Own commercial negotiations for long-term agreements, capacity commitments, and joint development arrangements with strategic silicon suppliers and foundry partners, securing favorable terms and accountability for program deliverables
- Build and maintain supplier performance measurement systems, conduct regular business reviews, and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost across the silicon supply base
- Develop and execute contingency and resilience plans to address single-source dependencies, geopolitical risks, capacity constraints, and lead time variability across the silicon supply chain
- Apply should-cost modeling and data-driven analytics to identify cost reduction opportunities and validate cost structures for AP, SoC, and related silicon components
- Collaborate with silicon engineering and product development teams to lead Value Innovation initiatives, driving supplier-led advancements in semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies
- Proactively identify supply chain risks and ambiguities across multiple concurrent silicon programs and develop structured mitigation strategies that protect program timelines and business objectives
- Engage and influence key internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership and silicon supplier partners, to align on sourcing strategy, capacity planning, and new product introduction milestones
Minimum Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or supplier partnership roles within consumer electronics, wearables, or related hardware industries
- Experience developing and executing category sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, should-cost modeling, contract negotiation, and supply base management for complex hardware programs
- Experience leading cross-functional programs across engineering, operations, and business teams from new product introduction through mass production in a hardware development environment
- Experience managing supplier relationships at a strategic level, including joint development agreements, capacity planning, and executive-level business reviews
- Experience identifying and resolving complex supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies, geopolitical exposure, and capacity constraints across global supply bases Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, contract manufacturers, ODMs, and OEMs in high-volume consumer electronics environments
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Experience applying AI-driven tools or advanced data analytics to supply chain modeling, cost analysis, or supplier performance management
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Demonstrated ability to influence product architecture and design decisions through supplier technology roadmap integration and trade space analysis
- Experience sourcing components or assemblies specific to AR, VR, wearables, or spatial computing hardware, including optics, sensors, electromechanical assemblies, or custom silicon
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
