As a member of the Platform Services Legal team, you will provide legal advice on a wide variety of product development issues and directly support engineering and business teams working on Apple’s software applications and services. You will draft and negotiate commercial transactions as trusted counselor to these teams under tight deadlines. This position requires excellent communication, negotiation and drafting skills, the ability to work well with cross-functional stakeholders, and great interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will embrace the challenge of solving complex issues and conflicting interests in creative and efficient ways.
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
8+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience advising on technology product-related issues and negotiating and drafting complex technology transactions
Effective time management and organizational skills
Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities based on evolving business needs
Strong communication skills with ability to work independently but also collaborate across teams and geographies
Self-starter who is curious, embraces technology, and thrives in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to analyze and issue-spot legal risks and provide practical, business-forward guidance
Experience in software applications, products, or consumer-facing technologies and services
Experience providing legal advice across business, marketing, product, and multiple engineering teams on matters including new product and feature launches and varying business objectives
Familiar with copyright, clearances, and other areas of intellectual property law
Experience with international legal and regulatory compliance, privacy, subscriptions, services, AI technologies, open data and open source issues
