Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. As a Policy Strategist, you will serve as a primary domain authority and strategic lead for kids and teens content safety. You will handle novel, highly ambiguous policy challenges spanning generative AI, emerging product capabilities and interactions, and age-appropriate content ecosystem risks.
In this role, you will lead proactive policy formulation, partner with Engineering and Product Management to embed safety-by-design into product roadmaps, and serve as a senior escalation lead on critical issues. Your work will be grounded in research-based age-appropriate developmental needs of kids and teens. This role requires exceptional judgment, strong cross-functional influence, and the ability to turn complex academic research and global safety regulations into scalable policy frameworks.
