This role sits at the intersection of strategy, sales, and partnership management. You'll set the direction for how Apple grows with its most important Consumer Channel partners, guiding a team that turns market insight into action, while balancing long-term vision with the near-term execution needed to deliver results.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a team of business development and strategy professionals, setting clear priorities and creating the conditions for them to do their best work
Manage team resourcing, hiring, and performance, and build a strong bench of future talent
Strategy & Planning
Own the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for the US Consumer Channel partner portfolio, ensuring team efforts are focused on the highest-impact opportunities
Guide the team in analyzing business opportunities and developing innovative initiatives that drive sales growth across US Consumer Channel partners
Establish the analytical frameworks and standards the team uses to evaluate consumer trends, partner capabilities, and market dynamics, and translate findings into actionable strategy
Partner with account leadership to ensure initiatives support annual sales plan goals and objectives
Partnership & Negotiation
Champion new ideas, partnerships, and concepts that drive performance for Apple and our reseller partners, building executive alignment to move them forward
Build and maintain senior-level relationships across internal teams, including US Account Teams, Marketing, Services, Digital, Apple Financial Services, Legal, and Sales Finance
Oversee and lead complex negotiations with channel partners to secure deals that deliver desired market and financial results
Executive Communication
Represent the team and its recommendations to senior management internally and externally, developing data-supported narratives that drive decisions
10+ years of experience in business planning, strategy, and strategic management; experience in management consulting, business development, or corporate development preferred
Demonstrated people leadership experience, including managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams (formal management experience preferred; experience leading teams or work streams considered)
Experience creating sustainable growth strategies for customers and partners and/or experience in a channel sales organization
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and business modeling skills, with the ability to transform data into actionable insights, business plans, and a long-term vision
Proven presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leaders to guide business decisions
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Creativity to develop robust analytic approaches and translate strategy into practical and measurable actions
Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills, including the ability to influence cross-functionally, navigate partner organizational structures, and lead complex negotiations
Track record of building, developing, and retaining talent, and of creating an inclusive, high-trust team environment
Ability to operate with ambiguity, set direction for a team, and balance long-term strategic thinking with near-term execution
Passion for impacting the US Consumer Channel market, partners, and end customers
A love for solving problems, the ability to anticipate challenges, and a willingness to provide recommendations that challenge the status quo
