As part of the Messages team on Apple Watch, you will have many responsibilities relating to the design, development, and testing of the device software. Responsibilities include:
- Working with designers to turn ideas into meaningful prototypes, and demoing them to stakeholders.
- Writing high quality, well tested, and performant code to develop those prototypes into polished, Apple-level experiences that we’re proud to ship.
- Architect systems that are extensible, adaptable, and stand the test of time.
- Profile and optimize cutting-edge features to run well on a low-powered, highly-constrained device.
- Work daily with quality assurance teams to find and fix all the bugs, edge cases, and performance issues that impact the user experience.
3+ years of related experience
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
3 years of experience in Objective-C or Swift.
Proven experience contributing to at least one application or framework.
A consistent track record of delivering projects on time and within specifications.
Familiarity with systems and hands-on experience with inter-process communication.
Experience optimizing applications and profiling across the entire stack.
Adaptability, results orientation, and a positive attitude.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
Attention to detail.
Experience improving and expanding on existing complex projects and systems.
Experience defining and driving large scale projects across different levels of the stack.
Experience with both SwiftUI and UIKit lifecycle apps.
