The (USA) Manager, Merchandising Planning, applies advanced expertise to develop and execute strategic action plans that align with business objectives and customer needs. This role leads financial forecasting, category management, and promotional planning through data-driven insights and
cross-functional collaboration. The manager provides decision support by analyzing business performance, guiding budget development, and influencing assortment strategies. Emphasizing integrity and operational excellence, this position fosters a high-performing environment focused on continuous improvement, leveraging digital tools, and delivering measurable financial and customer outcomes within the merchandising function.
About the team:
The Camping team leads assortment, vendor partnerships, and strategy to deliver innovative, seasonal, and value-driven products that enhance outdoor experiences. This team drives category growth by collaborating across merchandising, supply chain, and sourcing to optimize inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment. Focused on inventory health and product flow, the team addresses supply challenges to meet customer needs efficiently. Utilizing data analysis and strategic execution, the team supports business objectives while maintaining operational excellence and financial performance through effective merchandising, category management, and profit and loss oversight.
What you'll do: - Develop and execute merchandising plans using data-driven insights to align with business objectives and customer needs.
- Perform financial forecasting and budget management for categories, leveraging analytics to project and influence future results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align forecasts, promotional strategies, and assortment decisions with overall category goals.
- Analyze category performance, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial and customer outcomes.
- Communicate key findings and strategic insights to leadership and stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
What you'll bring: - Proven expertise in merchandising and category management with strong financial forecasting skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and leverage business intelligence to drive category performance and strategic decisions.
- Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities and developing actionable financial plans.
- Skilled in influencing feature and promotional strategies using historical data and market insights.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and aligning business plans with company values.
- Proficient in collaborating cross-functionally to achieve customer-centric and business outcomes.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
