Developer Relations is the main technical contact for Apple's worldwide community of software developers. We help ensure that the products they ship are designed and engineered to the high standards Apple sets for itself. This position is perfect for a software engineer who enjoys collaborating with others to solve app development challenges, and has a passion for learning
and sharing knowledge.
Authoring and maintaining technical documentation, sample code, and Swift/Objective-C reference documentation.
Building tools, apps, and app extensions for Apple platforms using Swift and Objective-C.
Evangelizing APIs and new frameworks by collaborating with Apple engineering teams to produce WWDC sample projects, and developer articles.
Supporting live events, including hands-on labs, that showcase modern Apple platform capabilities.
Investigating and resolving developer issues using debugging tools and methods. This includes utilizing LLDB, symbolization, and crash log analysis.
Crafting technical articles and migration guides to help developers transition to new APIs while maintaining backward compatibility.
Conducting code reviews and API reviews to identify developer pain points, advocate for SDK improvements, and provide actionable feedback for Apple engineering roadmaps.
Representing Apple on the Developer Forums, WWDC Labs, Meet with Apple events, and developer workshops to offer code-level guidance and promote high-quality app experiences built with Apple technologies.
6+ years experience developing apps for Apple platforms in Swift or Objective-C.
Proven experience developing native apps using Xcode, Swift, and Objective-C.
Utilizing SwiftUI and UIKit to build app experiences for the iOS, watchOS, iPadOS, visionOS, tvOS, or macOS platforms.
Utilizing Swift concurrency, Swift memory management, and state management for interoperability across SwiftUI and UIKit to build and debug applications.
Strong familiarity with Apple developer workflows including application development, testing, and distribution.
Building and shipping apps on all of Apple’s platforms.
Excellent debugging skills and capable of using Sysdiagnose, backtrace, LLDB, and Xcode Instruments to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
Strong understanding of computer science & software engineering best practices.
Willingness to dive in and take ownership of a technology or problem space.
Active and engaged with the Apple and/or Swift developer community.
In-depth experience with some or all of the following technologies: Apple Push Notification service, Core Bluetooth, Core NFC, Core Location, Core Motion, Live Activities, Local Notifications, Focus, App Attest, and Passkeys.

In this role you would serve as the primary technical liaison between Apple and the global developer
community , guiding third-party engineers in building, debugging, and optimizing apps across iOS, macOS, visionOS, watchOS, and tvOS.
We are looking for an engineer with extensive experience using Xcode to develop apps written in Swift and Objective-C.
