Senior Staff Technical Leader, Google SecOps

As a Senior Technical Leader in the SecOps Data Platform team, you will lead the evolution of the data platform for a fully autonomous agentic SOC.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $262000 - $364000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of data platform building blocks to be consumed by AI SOC agents.
• Drive rapid prototyping and experimentation on various architectural options for the next gen data platform.
• Identify and implement architecture improvements that make our platform simpler, more robust, and more scalable to unleash the full potential of our customers’ data.
• Drive scale and reliability efforts of SecOps data platform. Leverage your expertise in SIEM products to understand customer pain points, propose solutions, build and deliver projects while working closely with product/customers to incorporate feedback.
• Mentor and develop other team members. Write documentation, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge with other engineers.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development, with focus on building scalable distributed systems, data pipelines, real time streaming and batch processing systems.
• 8 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Python.
• 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

In most instances, this position requires in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
