Job description
At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
Google Lens empowers people to search what they see whether it’s the physical world in front of them or the digital content on their screens. Powered by Google's deep expertise in computer vision and the latest Multimodal Large Language Model (LLM) advances with Gemini.
You will lead the charge to reinvigorate our visual commerce growth and transform Lens and visual Search at large into a primary commercial growth engine for Google. You will solve complex, multi-dimensional challenges by connecting disparate horizontal AI capabilities like visual search, image generation, and personalization into a unified, multi-turn conversational shopping experience. You will collaborate deeply across Search, YouTube, and DeepMind, acting as a visionary leader and spokesperson for visual commerce at the highest executive levels.
US: $240000 - $333000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Own the holistic, long-term strategy for Lens Shopping. Synthesize user needs, market gaps, and competitive intelligence to define hero shopping journeys. Transition visual shopping from a transactional "in-and-out" utility to a sticky, daily habit.
- Pivot Circle to Search (CtS) to capture massive on-screen commercial intent. Counter competitor "pause-to-shop" habits by building frictionless, highly engaging visual shopping experiences that tap into foundational GenZ behaviors.
- Connect horizontal AI capabilities (agentic reasoning, personalized context, visual fanouts, and generative creation) to build deep, multi-turn shopping journeys.
Partner closely with YouTube leadership to intercept latent shopping queries across billions of daily Shorts. Drive cross-functional engineering efforts to solve video-specific ML quality hurdles (overlay text, blurry frames).
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
- 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Experience building and scaling consumer-facing commerce, shopping, or social video products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
- 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
- 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.
- Knowledge of competitive market trends in social commerce, video-based shopping (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels), and GenZ consumer behavior and experience defining short- and long-term monetization strategies, customer options, and Go-To-Market strategies.
