Job description

At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." As a UX Design Manager, you will drive this vision by defining product strategy, mitigating complexity, and conceptualizing ecosystem-level UX. You are a systems-level thinker and a fierce advocate for both your users and your team.

You will be responsible for guiding the careers of your direct reports, helping them realize their full potential while fostering a culture of forward-thinking design. With a practiced eye for quality, you will transform complex workflows into elegantly simple experiences. You will collaborate closely with Engineering and Product Management leaders to align business goals with design innovation, leveraging your passion for brand, craft, and execution.

Messages is Google’s largest and fastest-growing texting app. With a user base approaching two billion and a roadmap full of exciting new features, we’re building the future of modern messaging across the global Android ecosystem. Messages User Experience (UX) is a tight-knit, multidisciplinary team with excellent cross-functional support and a broader UX community in Android's ABC organization.

We are seeking a Senior UX Manager to shape the core consumer experience and enterprise messaging initiatives powered by Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Business. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to deliver intuitive solutions for users and global partners as we expand the RCS ecosystem, advocating craft excellence and the elevated design standards that define Android’s premium offerings.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
