Job description
Key job responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for the verification and monitoring platform, defining strategy that ensures every event is delivered correctly and completely across all integrated AWS services.
- Lead and grow a team of engineers and technical leaders by recruiting top talent, providing coaching and actionable feedback, and building programs to develop and retain high performers.
- Establish AI-assisted development workflows — including AI-powered code generation, automated code reviews, and intelligent test creation — to multiply your team's engineering output while maintaining quality.
- Drive cross-team engagement with AWS service teams and internal stakeholders using agile practices and strong program management to align priorities, manage dependencies, and report findings that shape organizational decisions.
- Build and maintain automated monitoring systems that proactively detect data loss, integrity failures, and coverage gaps, ensuring issues are caught and remediated before they reach customers.
A day in the life
You start your morning reviewing verification dashboards and monitoring alerts to understand event integrity across AWS services. You join a design review where your engineers propose a new detection capability, and you pressure-test assumptions to sharpen the approach. After a one-on-one where you help a technical leader plan their next career milestone, you shift to a cross-team sync with an AWS service team to align on an upcoming launch and its event coverage requirements. Later, you review your team's prioritized project list, adjust sequencing based on new findings, and close the day by drafting a status update for leadership on recent impact metrics.
