Job description
We take play seriously. We’re looking for curious adventurers ready to find their party, fueled by imagination and drive to build what’s never been built before. At Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, you’ll collaborate with passionate teams to reimagine our iconic brands and create experiences that spark joy, connection, and community through the magic of play. This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.
What keeps players coming back to a digital marketplace, and how should D&D Beyond grow in a way that strengthens the broader Dungeons & Dragons experience?
We’re hiring a Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy to help answer those questions and shape the next phase of growth for D&D Beyond.
This role will be responsible for improving how the marketplace serves D&D fans of all types. You'll own how the marketplace performs — from how products are promoted to how new users become paying customers and stick around. This is a cross-functional role that touches Product, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, and Franchise teams, and requires someone equally comfortable with setting strategy and driving execution.
This is a hybrid role and requires three days a week in our Renton, WA office.
What You’ll Do
- Lead commercial strategy and annual planning for D&D Beyond. Set annual revenue and margin targets and own the plan to hit them.
- Lead merchandising and promotions end-to-end: design seasonal sales, lead launch planning, and conduct post-launch analysis.
- Work closely with product leads to refine the new user experience so more players make their first purchase and keep coming back.
- Partner across teams to identify growth opportunities, launch commercial initiatives and improve the overall marketplace experience.
- Track performance through metrics like conversion, retention, and margin, and use what you learn to drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- 6–10 years in commercial strategy, digital commerce, or a related field (gaming, entertainment, eCommerce, or subscriptions preferred).
- Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to make clear recommendations despite competing priorities.
- Hands-on experience with monetization, storefront optimization, and promotional planning.
- A track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing Product, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, and Franchise partners.
- Passion for games and Dungeons & Dragons is a plus!
