Capex Portfolio Leadership & Strategic Planning Own and oversee Amazon Air's entire capital expenditure portfolio, managing multi-billion dollar investments in aircraft, engines, and infrastructure. Develop and maintain long-range capital plans aligned with fleet strategy and network growth. Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide executive-level reporting. Analyze end-to-end cost drivers across fleet, operations, maintenance, and network. Develop business cases with rigorous NPV and ROI analysis for dramatic cost reduction initiatives. Partner with Operations, Fleet Management, Network Planning, and Carrier Strategy to validate opportunities and drive implementation. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex analysis into actionable insights that enable AIR's long-term affordability and competitiveness. - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience - MBA, or CPA
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
