Job description

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will direct the cross-functional program strategy, governance, and operational frameworks for Google’s Modular Manufacturing and Integration organization. As a founding member of this newly formed team, you will operate with high autonomy, partnering directly with leadership to help define and shape how this organization operates from the ground up.

In this role, you will navigate high ambiguity to bridge the gap between long-term technical vision and pragmatic cross-organizational execution across multiple partner teams. You will direct a strategic portfolio of programs, establishing the operating models, planning cadences, and review mechanisms required to scale. Partnering closely with engineering, corp strategy, and finance leadership, you will reconcile priorities, track critical path dependencies, and translate complex technical trade-offs into actionable executive narratives and decision-making frameworks.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $240000 - $333000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Support the evaluation of modular unit economics, modeling trade-offs between factory CapEx, logistics overhead, on-site labor elimination, and time-to-market.
  • Partner with Infrastructure Finance and engineering teams to help operationalize Total Cost of Ownership (PerfTCO) frameworks, quantifying the value of accelerated capacity deployment.
  • Help establish and track product cost targets for modular SKUs across compute, power, and cooling systems, driving program alignment with Hardware Supply Chain and Systems and Manufacturing teams.
  • Develop high-quality strategic narratives, technical white papers, and executive presentations for Director- and VP-level reviews, operating committees, and cross-functional forums.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in technical program management, corporate strategy, business operations, product strategy, management consulting, or corporate development within technology, infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience in data center infrastructure and mass manufacturing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or other advanced graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing program governance, operational cadences, and portfolio operating models from scratch in high-growth or newly formed organizations.
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML tools or automated workflows to accelerate operational efficiency, program tracking, and strategic decision-making.
  • Experience in modularity or modular manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with unit economics modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (PerfTCO), or capital velocity within large-scale technical infrastructure.
  • Domain fluency across hyperscale data center infrastructure, advanced hardware systems (AI compute/accelerators), power and cooling infrastructure, or capital-intensive industrial manufacturing.
