GDSP, you will develop deep expertise in cloud economics, hone your strategic thinking, and directly impact
AWS's market leadership while working with latest technologies and global clients.
Key job responsibilities
We're looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the Analytics & Insights team within
AWS Global Deal Strategy & Programs (
GDSP). In this role, you'll design and build scalable, AI-integrated analytics platforms and seller-facing tools that power data-driven decision making across
AWS's global sales organization. You'll work across the full stack, from
data pipelines and APIs to interactive dashboards and conversational AI agents, delivering solutions that serve thousands of
AWS sellers, managers, and leaders. The ideal candidate is passionate about building at the intersection of
data engineering and Generative AI, thrives in a fast-paced environment with high ownership expectations, and can translate complex business requirements into reliable, production-grade software. You'll partner closely with product, business , and sales teams to deliver tools that directly impact
AWS's commercial motions.
Architect, design, and build scalable, integrated solutions for sales analytics and tooling used by teams with
AWS globally
Develop AI-powered tools and conversational agents leveraging Generative AI, large language models, and Amazon Bedrock to automate seller workflows, surface data insights, and reduce manual operational overhead
Build and integrate MCP (Model Context Protocol) services that connect sales data to agentic AI experiences, enabling sellers to query data, generate reports, and take action through natural-language interaction
Design and implement intelligent automation using agentic frameworks to replace legacy, manual processes with self-service, AI-enabled tooling
Partner cross-functionally with technology teams, business intelligence, finance, and field operations to develop solutions integrated into end-to-end seller experiences
About the team
The
GDSP 3PX Analytics & Insights (A&I) team is the centralized
data engineering and analytics partner for
AWS's Private
Pricing organization. We own the end-to-end data platform from core
data modeling and pipeline infrastructure to reporting artifacts and self-serve analytics providing data-driven support to Private
pricing stake owners across
AWS.
We are a high-ownership, fast-moving team consisting of PMT’s, Business intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers and Software development Engineers who thrive in ambiguity and deliver at pace. We manage a broad portfolio spanning multiple business verticals while maintaining a strong bar for data quality, operational rigor, and customer obsession. Pricing programs are designed, measured, and evolved directly shaping the strategies that drive
AWS's largest and most complex enterprise deals worldwide.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using:
C#,
C++,
Java, or
Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of
Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
