Job description
At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
As a Product Manager on the AI Platform and People Data team within People Operations Engineering, you will own a core product surface of our shared enterprise AI and data platform. You will define and deliver foundational capabilities—spanning generative AI and agentic tooling, enterprise people data products, developer SDKs, and model evaluation frameworks—that power employee-facing applications across Google.
Bringing a "Platform-as-a-Product" mindset and strong business judgment, you will treat internal product and engineering teams as your primary customers while keeping end-user value for Googlers front and center. You will partner with Engineering, Data Science, and UX to identify shared needs across the portfolio, ship intuitive self-serve platform capabilities, and drive measurable improvements in product quality, reliability, and delivery velocity.
At Corp Eng, we build world-leading business solutions that scale a more helpful Google for everyone. As Google’s IT organization, we provide end-to-end solutions for organizations across Google. We deliver the right tools, platforms, and experiences for all Googlers as they create more helpful products and services for everyone. In the simplest terms, we are Google for Googlers.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end execution for a core enterprise AI or data platform capability—such as agentic workflow tooling, developer SDKs, foundational data products, or automated AI evaluation frameworks.
- Translate ambiguous business, user, and developer needs into clear product requirements documents (PRDs), defining product capabilities, API/SDK experiences, quality benchmarks, and performance targets.
- Advocate a seamless developer experience (DevEx) by delivering self-serve tools, starter kits, and product documentation that make it easy for internal application teams to adopt shared platform capabilities.
- Partner with Data Science, Privacy, Security, and Engineering teams to define product telemetry, evaluation metrics, and built-in safety and compliance guardrails.
- Collaborate closely with partner product teams to understand user pain points, prioritize the platform backlog, and drive adoption of reusable platform products across the portfolio.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
- 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
- Experience managing AI/ML, generative AI, developer platform, or enterprise data products, including experience with LLM/agentic patterns, data foundations, and model evaluation methodologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- Experience with "Platform-as-a-Product"—translating developer and business needs into clear PRDs and roadmaps for APIs, SDKs, data products, or shared platform services.
- Experience partnering with Data Scientists and engineers to establish data-driven product metrics, evaluation frameworks, service-level objectives (SLOs), and responsible AI guardrails.
- Experience collaborating across multiple product and engineering teams to identify common needs, advocate platform reuse, and iterate based on customer feedback.
- Experience in organizations, ensuring platform investments solve real enterprise problems and deliver measurable adoption and return on investment (ROI).
