Job description

Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. You will have the opportunity to redefine how Google defends its AI infrastructure, leveraging your applied vulnerability research experience. In this role, you will help shape our strategic defenses, bridging offensive AI security research with durable, massive-scale defensive engineering. Your technical vision will not only protect vital intellectual property and user data, but will pioneer the next-generation of resilient AI infrastructure against the most advanced agentic and algorithmic threats.

  • Architect output sanitization ecosystems and web controls to neutralize novel, agentic-driven exploits.
  • Help set a technical mandate that prioritizes reproducible, durable security platforms over one-off mitigations.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.

  • 10 years of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of the latest AI tooling ecosystems, and Large Language Model (LLM) vulnerabilities, with a strategic mindset to anticipate the next evolution of adversarial tactics.
  • Exceptional ability to operate independently, proactively identify critical security gaps, and build comprehensive, scalable solutions from the ground up.
  • Strong capability to bridge the gap between bleeding-edge AI research and resilient defense platforms.
