Join IQVIA's Sponsor-Dedicated FSP team and help advance healthcare through real-world evidence. We bring together scientific expertise and real-world data to help sponsors make decisions and accelerate evidence generation to improve patient outcomes.
In this role, you'll work closely with one sponsor, gaining deep knowledge of its therapies while leveraging IQVIA's global expertise.
Overview
As an Epidemiologist supporting a sponsor-dedicated inflammation program, you will independently execute real-world evidence work that supports early clinical development. You will use epidemiologic methods and real-world data to characterize the natural history of disease, assess disease landscapes, evaluate study feasibility, and contribute to Phase 1-3 development programs. This is a hands-on execution role focused on producing high-quality protocols, clinical study reports, and related scientific deliverables while operating with a high degree of independence.
Responsibilities
- Independently execute epidemiology and real-world evidence activities supporting inflammation programs in early clinical development, including Phases 1-3.
- Use real-world data and epidemiologic methods to describe the natural history of disease and characterize inflammation disease landscapes.
- Conduct feasibility assessments to evaluate research questions, available data, study populations, endpoints, and potential study approaches.
- Develop and contribute to study protocols, analysis plans, study reports, clinical study reports, and other scientific deliverables.
- Support regulatory-grade real-world evidence studies, applying sound epidemiologic methods and appropriate documentation standards.
- Perform hands-on study execution, including translating assigned research objectives into clear, accurate, and timely deliverables.
- Interpret study findings and communicate methods, assumptions, limitations, and results clearly to sponsor stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Manage assigned work proactively and resolve execution issues with limited supervision or day-to-day direction.
- Work effectively within a sponsor-dedicated model, collaborating with sponsor teams across functions and time zones.
Requirements
- PhD in Epidemiology is required.
- Demonstrated experience applying epidemiology and real-world evidence to Phase 1-3 clinical development programs.
- Prior pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
- Knowledge of regulatory-grade real-world evidence expectations and rigorous observational research methods.
- Demonstrated epidemiology experience in inflammation or a closely related therapeutic area.
- Experience conducting natural history, disease landscape, and study feasibility work using real-world data.
- Experience developing study protocols, clinical study reports, and related epidemiology deliverables.
- Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned work, and execute with limited supervision.
- Strong scientific writing, analytical, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.
What's in it for you?
- Be part of a forward-thinking team that helps shape the next generation of evidence-based healthcare.
- Work hand-in-hand with one leading sponsor, gaining deep expertise in its therapies and development programs.
- Access IQVIA's global network and scientific community to support your continued growth.
This is your chance to make an impact while building a career that matters.
