Staff Electrical Architecture System Engineer

Zoox is seeking a Staff Electrical Architecture System Engineer to join our Electrical Architecture team. Led by the Principal Architect, The Zoox Electrical Architecture Team is responsible for developing the power distribution, network topology and logical organization of ECUs to create the optimal autonomous robotaxi. In this role you will help develop electrical and electronic system architecture designs, best practices, and validation procedures for Zoox's ground-up autonomous vehicles. You will work with engineering leaders from various domains to capture their needs for low-voltage loads, system management and integrate these designs into the robotaxi. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, as you'll work with vehicle integration, firmware, and vehicle component development teams to deliver solutions.

We are looking for an engineer that is passionate about developing a ground breaking Robotaxi, has a strong system engineering background, has extensive experience in vehicle network, power distribution, power modes and ECU function distribution. Strong system problem-solving skills, organizational talent and a commitment to deliver on time are also required.

Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this technology to market. There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
